Accommodating dyslexia in the workplace

During the post-offer medical exam, I revealed that I take medication for my Psychiatric Disability. The ADA and the ADA-AA The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) is a federal law that makes discrimination based on disability illegal.

Now my employer is asking me to sign a release that would allow them to look at all my mental health records. It gives civil rights protection to people with disabilities and prohibits discrimination in employment, public accommodations, and public services.

Other individuals with learning disabilities may never receive an evaluation and go through life, never knowing why they have difficulties with academics and why they may be having problems in their jobs or in relationships with family and friends.
