Sailors’ Society is an international Christian charity working in ports across the world. We have more than 100 chaplains and ship visitors in 91 global ports, with wider projects and services covering 27 countries.
Our chaplains help seafarers and their families, from all faiths and none, with welfare and practical support. Almost everything we own or use comes by sea – our cars, our computers, our phones. We visit many thousands of ships in port each year and have a number of building, education and welfare programmes in communities where seafarers live.
Friday night dinners are hosted by a member every week. Take part in our family oriented events such as racing regattas throughout the year, one-design and PHRF racing, Wednesday night beer can racing, cruising the San Joaquin Delta as well as deep water coastal events.
This is a great way to meet and socialize with other members. The University of the Pacific, and Delta College are nearby.
